Here is a list (not exhaustive) of the main festivals and events associated with life on the canals and rivers of Burgundy :

The ‘Auxois à Dijon’: yearly – in April on Kir lake in Dijon.

The ‘Fête du nautisme’: yearly – mid May, a number of different venues in Burgundy.

The ‘Pardon des Mariniers’: yearly – 3rd weekend in June at Saint-Jean-de-Losne

Musicalo (July-August): completely new festival combining visual arts and music concerts, all on a barge sailing along the Canal du Centre.

Salon Pâques Boat: every 2 years - April at Saint-Jean-de-Losne The only trade fair in France devoted exclusively to inland waterway cruising!

Open Door Days: every 2 years - a number of different venues in Burgundy. Boat charter companies invite visitors aboard their boats to show them some of the delights of inland waterway holidays and cruising.
